Trevor Deegan

Trevor Deegan was apart of the 1993 SA O'Connor team; a team which ended an 18 year winning drought for South Australia. A veteran presence for the next generation of South Australian competitors; Trevor demonstrated a steady and reliable play-style, hitting the ball cleanly and with accuracy. Trevor also strived on correcting weaknesses; an example is his confidence with his opposite hand... a natural right handed player, he would use his left hand with regularity as he understood the value of being ambidextrous on the court.

Trevor's introduction was in 1973 where he represented South Australia in the Juniors State Team, and started playing Senior Pennant for the Rostrevor Handball Club two years later in 1975. Starting in 1975 and ending in 2007, Trevor represented the Rostrevor Handball Club in Senior Pennant for 32 years where he was awarded the Presidents trophy on three separate occasions (1982, 89 & 91), won A Grade's Best and Fairest in 1984, and B Grade P McCabe Best Average in 2005.

In 1996 Trevor was awarded SAHA Life Membership and was selected in the SAHA Committee of the Century in the year 2000.
